We’re blessed to have generous and faithful givers here at SBC to keep ministry here moving. As always, you are able to give during our offering times each Sunday or bring/mail your tithes to the church office where they will be kept record of, but we wanted to making it available to those who would like an online option.
Check out these two options through Paypal to see which would be best for you.
If we had to put a preference on one method we would recommend the Paypal Giving Fund to bypass any transaction fees, but read below and consider what may work best for you.
This method of online giving allows 100% of your donation to come to SBC. All transaction fee’s are covered through Paypal Giving Fund and on the 25th of every month we will receive the donations. Your giving statement for tax purposes however will come to you through email by Paypal Giving Fund immediately. You will not receive a giving invoice from SBC for these funds. Your gift automatically will go in our General Fund but if you would like it to go elsewhere (Building Fund, Summer Camp, Children's Missions, Benevolence, Memorial, etc..) please forward your receipt with instructions to email@example.com
Pros: 100% of Donation/No Fee’s
Cons: No way to set up automatic monthly gifts
This method of online giving will charge for every transaction 2.2% + $0.30. For example a gift of $100 would be a gift of $97.50 after the fees. So you may want to adjust your giving to compensate for the added fees. There is an option to have it automatically give the gift every month. Your giving statement for tax purposes will be added to the statement provided by SBC at the end of year. Your gift automatically will go in our General Fund but if you would like it to go elsewhere (Building Fund, Summer Camp, Children's Missions, Benevolence, Memorial, etc..) please note that in the “Special Giving instructions for Offering” spot on the form.
Pros: Automatic Monthly Giving
Cons: 2.2% + $0.30 Fee
As always, be cautious of emails claiming to be from Paypal or any other online provider. We've seen an uptick in Scam & Phishing Emails.
